Polls to be held in fair manners: Syed Ashraf

Staff Correspondent: Awami League Secretary General and the Minister for Public Administration Syed Ashraful Islam said the upcoming municipality polls will be held in free and fair manners. The voters will cast their votes in festive mood as well, he claimed.

 

He also urged people to cast their votes for his symbol `boat` terming it `the symbol of independence, the symbol of Bangabandhu, the symbol of Sheikh Hasina and the Symbol of the liberation war`.

 

The Minister said this at a press briefing orgnised by Awami League at the political office of the party president Sheikh Hasina, also the Prime Minister, in the capital`s Dhanmondi in reaction to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia`s statement.
