Rangpur Riders beat Chittagong Vikings by 2 wickets

Sport Desk: Rangpur Riders beat Chittagong Vikings by 2 wickets in the opening match of this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla stadium in the capital on Sunday.

 

Rangpur Riders seemed struggling after losing four wickets in the early of the innings but the Misbah-ul-Haq`s 61 off 39 balls contributed much to secure the victory in the 1st BPL match against Chittagong Vikings.

 

Mohammad Amir bagged four wickets for Chittagong Vikings.

 

Misbah-ul-Haq was announced as the Man of the Match for his 39-ball 61.

 

Earlier, Chittagong Vikings set a 188 runs target for Rangpur Riders with Tamim Iqbal`s outstanding fifty (51 off 32 balls) with 6 fours and one six in Mirpur.

 

Earlier in the day, Tamim Iqbal, the captain of Chittagong Vikings won the toss and decided to bat first.
