National Citizen Party (NCP) Northern Region Chief Coordinator Sarjis Alam has said that reforms are not possible with 1972 Mujibist constitution.
The NPC leader made the comment while addressing the national rally of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan on Saturday.
Sarjis Alam said, “Reforms are not possible in this country with 1972 Mujibist constitution. That is why we need a new constitution. We need a judicial system. We want women’s rights.”
He said, “We have come from one July Uprising, but Bangladesh has not been freed from Mujibism.”
He said, “Indian brokers and Mujibists are still working in this country. They must be stopped.”
The NCP leader also said, “We will continue to fight unitedly on the issue of Awami League”.
