Chief Adviser’s directive to take election preparations by December

Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has directed the home ministry to take all preparations for the national election by December.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam disclosed this at a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital at 8 pm on Wednesday (July 9).
The Chief Adviser gave the directives at a meeting on the preparations of the law enforcing agencies for the upcoming parliamentary polls held at the State Guest House Jamuna.
Later, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam briefed the reporters.
The Chief Adviser has also asked the law enforcement agencies to be strict in the coming months. About 800,000 members of law enforcement agencies will be deployed for the election, the Press Secretary said.
At the meeting, the Chief Adviser also directed authorities concerned to ensure that every polling centre is brought under CCTV coverage.
All members of the law enforcement agencies must complete their training by December for a fair election. There has also been a discussion on whether separate booths can be set up for voters aged 18-32 during the election, the press conference was told.
CA's Deputy Press Secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Ahammad Foyez were present at the briefing.
