Hanif, his wife have Tk 32cr illegal assets: Two ACC cases

Former Kushtia-3 lawmaker and Bangladesh Awami League joint general secretary Md. Mahbubul Alam Hanif has acquired assets beyond known sources of income worth over TK 27.39 crore. 

In addition, Hanif and his wife Fauzia Alam jointly acquired undeclared income of TK 469, 68,490 crore.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has recommended filing two cases against Md. Mahbubul Alam Hanif and his wife on charges of acquiring assets beyond known sources of income and money laundering.

ACC Deputy Director (Public Relations) Md. Akhtarul Islam confirmed media of the matter on Monday. 

ACC also decided to serve notice of Hanif’s three children Fahim Afsar Alam, Farhan Sadiq Alam and Tanisha Alam asking them to submit their wealth details.
