Khaleda Zia will participate in polls: Mintoo

BNP Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo has said, “Everyone knows the election history of Feni. If there is a fair election, BNP will win here. Our party leader (Khaleda Zia) will also contest. She is in good health  now.” 

He said this in response to questions from journalists at a program at the Grand Sultan Convention Hall in Feni town on Wednesday (July 30) afternoon.

Abdul Awal Mintu said, “The interim government made a joint statement after talking to our acting chairman in London. We want to be confident that the election will be held in the first week of February. However, considering the current situation in the country, the election can be held even before that. Maybe it can be held in January. Because, there is a case going on in the Supreme Court regarding the caretaker government. If the caretaker government is reinstated, then this interim government will not be a caretaker government. The caretaker government has said that election will be held within 90 days.”
