New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by wickets in the 41st game of the World Cup in Bengaluru on Thursday.
New Zealand captain won the toss and chose to bowl. Sri Lanka's innings concluded at 171 runs. Chasing 172, New Zealand reached 172/5 in 23.2 overs with an explosive batting display from the likes of Devon Conway (45), Daryl Mitchell (43) and Rachin Ravindra (42).
Meanwhile, Angelo Mathews took two wickets for Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan team struggled, losing wickets at regular intervals, and no other batter managed to score more than 19 runs.
