Bad light stops play at Mirpur

Bad light stopped the final session on Day Three of the Dhaka Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur on Friday.

Earlier, Bangladesh posted 38-2 before the umpires stopped the play due to bad light.

Following a delay due to rain, New Zealand resumed on 55-5 on day 3, Glenn Philips's rapid 87 off 72 helped the visitors reach, leading by eight runs.

New Zealand scored 180 runs in 37.1 overs in the first innings. Glenn Phillips scored 87 off 72 balls. He hit nine fours and three sixes. Besides, Darrell Mitchell scored 18 runs and Kyle Jaminson scored 20 runs.

Miraz and Taijul Islam shared six wicket's together, taking three wickets each. Nayeem Hasan and Shoriful Islam picked up a couple of wickets.

Bangladesh lead the two-match series 1-0 after they won the first match in Sylhet by 150 runs.
