Shakib invites Khaleda Zia to his wedding ceremony

Sports Correspondent, DHAKA, Dec 12: Country’s ace all-round cricketer Shakib Al Hasan on Wednesday night invited BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to his wedding ceremony.

Shakib, accompanied by his wife Umme Ahmed Shishir, arrived at the opposition leader’s Gulshan residence at 9:40pm.

The wedding ceremony of the cricketer is scheduled to be held on December 15.
Earlier, on December 7, Shakib met Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad and invited the former President to attend the function.

 

Shakib will also invite Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
 
Shakib married Umme Ahmed Shishir, a US-based software engineer, in Dhaka on December 12 last year.

The private ceremony was held at Sonargaon Hotel where the couple completed their Akhd, the Islamic marriage formality.
