Post-wedding ceremony of Sakib Al-Hasan tonight

Sports Reporter, Dhaka, Dec 15: The post-wedding reception of world`s best all-rounder Shakib Al-Hasan will be held tonight.

Shakib Al-Hasan married Umme Ahmed Shishir, an American citizen, on December 12 last year. Born in 1989, Shishir hails from Narayanganj district. She got her degree in Software Engineering from Minnesota University and lives in Wisconsin, USA.

Shakib and Shishir have arranged their post-wedding reception ceremony at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital this evening.


Sources said Shakib and Shishir will entertain 2,000 guests. Shakib has already handed over his post-wedding reception invitation cards to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad.

Though the post-wedding reception of Shakib will be held this evening, he held his gaye holud function at Hotel Radisson on Saturday evening. Nearly all the players of national team were present at the function.
