Shohaly banned for all forms of cricket 

Bangladesh women’s team cricketer Shohaly Akhter has been banned from all forms of cricket for five years.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday.

According to the press release, the cricketer admitted breaching five provisions of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.

Shohaly has been charged to have made corrupt approaches to a Bangladesh cricketer during the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 held in South Africa.

Having admitted the charges, Shohaly accepted a sanction of a five-year period of ineligibility starting 10 February 2025.
