Pakistan squad announced for Bangladesh T20I series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, set to be played exclusively at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

Star batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have not been considered for the squad, along with premier fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Haris Rauf is also unavailable for selection after sustaining a hamstring injury during the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season, while Shadab Khan has been left out due to a shoulder surgery that will keep him out of action for around three months.

Another notable absentee is Hasan Ali, who has been left out of the squad despite impressive performances in the last series against Bangladesh and the Vitality Blast; sources say his exclusion is due to county commitments.

Several players have returned to the national setup, including all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz and left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem, while emerging pacer Salman Mirza has received his maiden call-up. Mohammad Abbas Afridi, who was previously sidelined due to injury, has also been recalled.

The squad will be led by Salman Ali Agha, while no vice-captain has been named for the tour.
