Risingbd Desk: Infamous for its editorial typos, The Times of India does it again. And, this time it is much bigger. The newspaper gave an obituary to the cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar in its story.

This is in wake of Tendulkar’s Twitter tribute to Australian Test batsman Phillip Hughes, who tragically died on Monday.

The Times of India published a series of tweets remembering Australia cricket international Phillip Hughes after the news of his death. The 25-year-old passed away Monday after being hit in the head by a short-pitched ball on Tuesday.

The cricket community was in mourning following the news of Hughes` death. Sachin Tendulkar was among the cricketing legends who tweeted about Hughes.

However, an erroneous version of his tweet was published in Times of India.

The paper wrote RIP Sachin Tendulkar instead of RIP Phillip Hughes.

Angry cricket fans criticised TOI for its big blunder on social network Twitter.

TOI has been under the social media scanner for some time now. They had erroneously printed ‘Rahul’ for legendary footballer ‘Raul’ , when Barcelona star Lionel Messi overtook Raul in La Liga. More recently, it started the infamous episode of Deepika Padukone’s Cleavage, and the ruckus still refuses to die down.
