Mazid hit double ton in Walton NCL

Sport Correspondent: Dhaka Division opener Abdul Mazid hit his maiden first-class double century in the ongoing Walton 16th National Cricket League (NCL) on Monday.
The 24 year right-hand batsman achieved the feat in the second day play of the second round match of the tournament against Dhaka Metro at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah.
Mazid reached his first ever double century in any form of cricket from 288 balls. He smashed 21 boundaries and 1 over boundary.
The batsman, hailed from Mymensingh, was unbeaten on 253 runs off 383 balls with 26 fours and 2 sixes when Dhaka declared their first innings on 525 runs for 9 wickets.
This was the second double century of the current season of the tournament while the first one was hit by Mazid’s Dhaka Division opening partner Rony Talukdar.
The duo also had a 314-run opening partnership in the match.
