State Minister for Youth and Sports Sri Biren Sikder

Parliament Correspondent: Each cricketer of Bangladesh national team earns Tk. 50 lakh to Tk. 60 lakh in a year, State Minister for Youth and Sports Sri Biren Sikder told Parliament.

The junior minister made the disclosure while replying a query of lawmaker Morshed Alam in the parliament on Monday afternoon.  

Sri Biren Sikder said the cricketers earned this amount of money through Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) from their monthly salary and fees of international and domestic matches.

Informing the parliament that BCB has 14 contracted crickets, Biren Sikder said four of them are enlisted in A+ category who get Tk. 2 lakh each as monthly salary while one A grade player Tk. 1.70 lakh, three B grade players Tk. 1.20 lakh, three C grade players Tk. 90 thousand and three D grade players Tk. 60  thousand each.

The minster also informed that each player get Tk. 2 lakh for international Test match, Tk. 1 lakh for ODI and Tk. 75 thousand for T20.
