22 cricketers in Bangladesh High Performance team

Sport Correspondent: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is going to start its High Performance Programme with 22 cricketers from next June for the development of country’s cricket.

A total of 22 crickets, who are not included in the national team, have been enlisted for the programme which is to be led by Paul Terry, former chief coach of Hampshire County Cricket Club.

These crickets will be given special tanning on four categories - batting, pace bowling, spin bowling and fielding, BCB vice-president Mahbub Anam told at a press conference held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.

The 22 cricketers are:

Top order: Rony Talukdar, Liton Kumar Das and Md. Shadman Islam.

Middle order: Md. Tasamul Haque, Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Sabbir Rahman Rumon, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Md. Mithun and Taibur Rahman Parvez.

Spinner: Jubair Hossain, Saqlain Sajib, Nihaduzzaman and Nasum Ahmed.

Pacer: Md. Mustafizur Rahman, Abu Jayed Chowdhury, Subashis Roy, Mehedi Hasan Rana, Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Dewan Sabbir Ahmed.

Wicketkeeper: Kazi Nurul Hasan Sohan, Jabid Hossain and Irfan Shukur.
