Sport Correspondent: Hosts Bangladesh stylishly reached the semi-final of the six-nation SAFF U-16 Championship beating Sri Lanka by 4-0 goals in first Group A match at the Sylhet District Stadium on Tuesday.
The match kicked off at 5:00pm on Tuesday.
Sarwan Zaman Nipu struck twice, Atiquzzaman and Abedin Rakib netted one goal each for Bangladesh dominating the whole match.
Sarwar Zaman Nipu opened the floodgate for Bangladesh in the very 5th minute by a nice shot after dodging past one of the opponent defender.
Bangladesh kept continuous attacking the Sri Lankan footballer and got six goals but two declared void due to off-side.
Eliminating Sri Lanka by 4-0 goals, Bangladesh secured Semifinal. Bangladesh will play defending champions India on Thursday (Aug 13) at 5: pm at the same venue to decide the Group A Champion.
