Barisal Bulls win by 6 wickets

Sport Correspondent: In the rain interrupted first match of today’s double header, Barisal Bulls has defeated Rangpur Riders by 6 wickets at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Thursday.

 

The match curtailed by 7 overs in Duckworth–Lewis method (D/L method) and the new target for Barisal Bulls was 75 due to rain.

 

Opener Rony Talukdar scored 23 runs with one over boundary and three boundaries before losing his wicket to Arafat Sunny while skipper Mahmudullah Riyad is unbeaten at 23 runs.

 

The Bulls lost another 3 wickets to collect the required run to seal their 5th win of the BPL T20 tournament of 2015.

 

Sunny picked up 2 wickets for 11 runs for the Riders while Shakib Al Hasan and Wahab Riaz took 1 wicket each.

 

With this win, Barisal Bulls has become the first spot in the point table of the BPL while Rangpur are on the third position with eight points.

 

Barisal bowlers Al-Amin Hossain won the title of Man of the Match.
