Tigers bowl out Blackcaps, take 56-run lead

Sport Desk: Bangladesh have bowled out New Zealand for 539 runs in the first of a two-match Test series in Wellington taking a 56-run lead in the first innings.
The hosts were all out scoring 539 runs in 148.2 overs which gave the visitors a 56-run lead as they declared their first inning at 595 for 8 in 152 overs.
New Zealand began the fourth day of the Test at 292/3 on Sunday and added 247 runs more with the rest of the 7 wickets.
Tom Latham who was unbeaten on 119 added 58 runs more before getting LBW off Shakib Al Hasan scoring 177. Henry Nicholls who was unbeaten on 35 got a fifty and was caught by Mehedi Hasan Miraz off Shakib at 53. The duo added 142 runs in the 4th wicket partnership, highest for the hosts.
Besides, wicketkeeper-batsman BJ Watling scored 49 while Mitchell Santner smashed a quick fifty and scored 73 runs to become the 10th batsman to be out.
Bangladesh pacer Kamrul Islam Rabbi bagged 3 wickets for 87 while spinner Shakib Al Hasan, debutant pacer Subashis Roy and another spinner Mahmudullah got 2 wickets each. Another debutant Taskin Ahmed claimed the other wicket.
Bangladesh opener Imrul Kayes has made a world record by taking 5 catches as a substitute keeper in an innings of a Test. He held the gloves through the innings as regular keeper Mushfiqur Rahim, also Bangladesh's skipper, did not come out on the field in the third day for a thump injury.
