Nazmul re-elected as BCB president

Sports Correspondent: Nazmul Hasan Papon has been re-elected as the president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) unopposed in a meeting of BCB board of directors at Mirpur on Wednesday afternoon.

This is set to be Nazmul Hassan’s third term as BCB president. He will lead the country’s most high-profile sports entity for the next four years.

Nazmul was given the charge of being president in 2012 after previous President AHM Mustafa Kamal had to leave to take up the position of ICC vice-president.

He also took the seat in 2013 as the first elected president of BCB.

"In today’s EC committee meeting, with the unanimous agreement of everyone, I have been re-elected as BCB president," Nazmul said.

I feel good to be elected as BCB president again. We have to set everything anew with new plans, he added.

“Although I wanted to be an executive committee, because of everyone’s request I have taken up the responsibility of being president,” the re-elected president said.
