Sports Desk: Mohammad Nabi top scored with 40 runs to help Afghanistan cricket team beat Zimbabwe by five wickets in the first T20I at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Afghanistan scored 121/5 in 14.4 overs, chasing 120 for victory. Earlier, Rashid Khan claimed three wickets while Sharafuddin Ashraf took two as Afghanistan restricted Zimbabwe cricket team to 120/9 after the “hosts” won the toss and opted to field.
The two teams will play one more T20 on Tuesday before taking on each other in five One-Day Internationals (ODIs) from February 9 to 19.
All the matches will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
