Bangladesh win in warm up match

Sports Desk: Nidahas Trophy, the tri-nation T20 series among Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh, is all set to be opened on Tuesday (March 06).

India are ready to face Sri Lanka in the opening match at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo of Sri Lanka.

Before the main battle, Tigers faced SLC President XI in their lone warm up match on Tuesday.

Bangladesh have won the practice match by 41 runs as Tigers bowled out SLC President XI for 145.

Bangladesh, thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim’s 65 off 44 deliveries, scored 186 runs losing five wickets in allotted 20 overs. He (Mushi) hit six fours and three sixes in his brilliant innings.

Skipper Mahmudullah Riyad struck a quick fire 47 off 27 deliveries, the second highest in the innings, while Liton Kumar Das scored 40 runs off 18 balls with four fours and three sixes.

Asitha Fernando grabbed two wickets for SLS President Xi in his four overs.

In chase, SLC President XI for managed to score 145 losing all wickets.

Niroshan Dickwella top-scored with 27 before Rubel Hossain got his scalp. Rubel and Taskin Ahmed bagged two wickets each while Abu Hider, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Soumya Sarkar took one each for the Tigers.
