Shadman misses double ton, Salauddin gets 4 wickets

Sports Correspondent: Shadman Islam started overnight his innings at 186 runs when he needed just 14 runs to post the career’s first double ton.

His team Dhaka Metro was also hopeful about his maiden double ton, but he could not make it fulfilled.

The left-arm opener gave a catch to Shovagata Hom by Nazmul Islam Apu’s ball, leaving the crease at 189 runs when he was away just for 11 runs.

He smashed a 189-run brilliant innings off 326 balls which includes 21 fours and a six.

Though he could not taste of double century, his brilliant innings gave the team a solid total of 387 runs. They added just 75 runs on the 2nd day for six wickets.

For Dhaka Division, seamer Salauddin Shakil bagged 4 wickets. He alone took three wickets on the 2nd day. Besides, Nazmul and Shahadat shared two wickets each.

Currently, Dhaka Metro is on lead by 106 runs.
