International Cricket Council will investigate the altercation between Bangladesh and India players following the finale on the ICC U19 Cricket World at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, South Africa on Sunday.
The occasion of Bangladesh’s historic three-wicket [DLS] win over four times U19 champions India was marred with players of both the team engaging in exchange of words.
There was also pushing between the players on the field which had eventually left a Bangladeshi flag damaged.
As per reports, ICC is to take the issue "seriously" and that a fuller update is due from the match referee, Graeme Labrooy, on Monday.
Bangladesh U19 captain Akbar Ali was sorry for the event while his Indian counterpart Priyam Garg had put all blame on Bangladesh team at the post match press conference.
