Father means a strong pillar who bears a huge responsibility. A father is a trusted shelter for his children. A father is not only a dreamer for his own but also he fulfills the dreams of his family.

Then, what about the dream of a father? Yes, if the child can fulfill dream of the father then that becomes a proud of a father.

Domestic league’s former cricketer Hasanuzzaman Jhoru is such a proud father. His son Ahnaf Azmain is walking through the foot prints of his father. Once his father was a shining star in 22-yard long cricket pitch. Now Ahnaf is growing with the same dream.

In this episode titled ‘Like Father Like Son’, today we will know about the story of Hasanuzzaman Jhoru and his son Ahnaf Azmain.

Although, Hasanuzzaman Jhoru could not wear the jersey of national team but he was a regular face of domestic cricket. He stopped playing in 2005 but he could not leave cricket forever. He kept himself busy with cricket. As a result, his elder son Ahnaf got a favorable environment of cricket. Naturally, Ahnaf joined cricket.

According to the father, (Hasanuzzaman Jhoru), “Ahnaf born in a cricket family. He started following cricket since his childhood. My association was another issue. Ultimately, he joined cricket.”

How he (Ahnaf) develops affection on cricket? Replying to this question the former cricketer said, “Actually, he feels interest on cricket from cricket field. He has seen me remain busy in cricket. Even, he visited fields several times. Cricket instruments were his toys. Thus, he felt affection on cricket.”

As a former cricketer, you are still connected with cricket. Was there any direct or indirect pressure on son Ahnaf to become a cricketer?

Father said, there was no pressure on him about anything. That’s why he is not only interested on cricket but also he is interested on cultural issues.

“I never created pressure on him about cricket. He is also expert in other co-curricular activities. I have learnt from his school that he can sing also. However, cricket his main sector of interest,” said Hasanuzzaman Jhoru.

“I want him to play top level cricket. But, there is no pressure from me to play in national team or under-19 team,” he added.

Father Hasanuzzaman Jhoru wants his son will be a cricketer. Explaining the reason behind it, he said, to survive in the present time, it is very necessary to have money or a successful personality. It is very easy to get the fame of star becoming a cricketer. No one else in this country get blessings like a cricketer. As he has interest in cricket, I want him to be a cricketer.”

The eleven-year-old Ahnaf, a five-grader, is studying in Scholastica School. His father is concentrating on his son’s study right now. He will take other steps two years later considering situations.

Hasanuzzaman Jhoru said, “It’s becoming tough to pay concentration on cricketer due to his study. But, the Youngers are now very smart nowadays. They can manage many things. However, I want to see two-three years. If I see he is doing better in cricket them I am ready to release the pressure of study from him.”

This father wants his son will do more hard work, will become strong technically to become a cricketer. The father also wants his son will become a good human being concentrating study.
