Khaled Mahmud tests Covid-19 positive

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director Khaled Mahmud Sujon has tested Covid-19 positive.

Chairman of BCB Operations Committee Akram Khan told this to risingbd over mobile phone on Saturday morning.

Sujon was supposed to be the team leader in the series against Sri Lanka. But, he is now not able to do this due to his coronavirus infection.

Sujon was in the home quarantine after returning from Sri Lanka. He joined the team after testing Covid-19 negative twice. However, after the Eid holiday, he started practice from May 18, but he was not seen in the field.

Akram Khan said “Sujan is not now with the team as he has tested Covid-19 positive. We will not face any problem as we will look after the responsibility of the team leader”.
