Mosaddek Hossain Saikat became the fourth Bangladesh bowler to secure fifer as Bangladesh restricted Zimbabwe to 135 runs in the second Twenty20 International of the three-match series at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday (July 31).
Mosaddek had the home side, who chose to bat first, in trouble right from the first ball as the right-handed off-spiner removed Regis Chakabva for naught. Mosaddek dismissed Wessle Madhevere (4) in the same over and demolished the Zimbabwean top order – dismissing Craig Ervine (1), Sean Williams (8) and Milton Shumba (3) one by one -- in his full quota of four overs, which he bowled on the trot.
With figures of five for 20 runs in four overs, while boasting 15 dot balls as well, Mosaddek, who had only taken seven wickets in the 19 T20Is prior, became the fourth Bangladesh bowler to take a fifer in the T20Is, following Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Elias Sunny.
