Shakib cancels deal with betwinner

Bangladesh premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan cancelled the contract with betwinner.

After the verbal announcement, Shakib sent a letter to BCB formally in this regard.

A top director of BCB confirmed the matter to risingbd on Thursday evening (August 11).

Betwinner news, a news portal of the Dutch Caribbean Island of Curacao-based gambling company. But the star cricketer signed a contract with the organization.

Earlier, BCB sent letter to Shakib to cancel the contract. But, Shakib didn’t show any positive reaction to that. Later, the BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon, said Shakib Al Hasan will be excluded from the Bangladesh squad for the upcoming Asia Cup if the all-rounder's sponsorship deal with Betwinner news -- a sister concern of betting site Betwinner -- is not revoked.
