Tamim names in T10 League players draft

Bangladeshi star cricketer Tamim Iqbal is likely to be seen with the bat for the second time in the T-10 League. The Bangladeshi opener has named in the players’ draft of the franchise tournament, which is scheduled to start next November.

In a tweet on Friday, the T-10 League confirmed the names of some other cricketers including Tamim in the draft. They wrote, “Who’s ready for some seriously hard hitting?  Jason Roy, Dawid Malan, Najibullah Zadran, Reeza Hendricks, Tamim Iqbal and James Vince are locked in and available in the #AbuDhabiT10 Season 6 Draft!”

The T-10 Players Draft will be held on September 26. In the meantime, Bangla Tigers have confirmed Bangladesh’s Test and T20 skipper Shakib Al Hasan as an icon player. He will lead the team.

Earlier, Tamim played for Pakhtoons in the opening season in 2017. Under the leadership of Shahid Afridi, the team played in the semi-finals.

Tamim was unbeaten on 56 off 27 balls in the first match. He hit the brilliant innings with 5 fours and 4 sixes and his team won the match against Team Sri Lanka. After playing three matches, the left-handed opener scored a total of 81 runs at a strike rate of 176.09.
The next season will run from November 23 to December 4. There are no ODIs and Tests during this period, Tamim will get full time to play this 10 over tournament.
