Open-deck bus getting ready for SAFF champion women’s team

An open-deck bus is being prepared for the winners of SAFF champion women’s 2022.

Confirming the matter, State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell said, there is no open-deck bus in Dhaka. That’s why a double-decker bus is being ready after removing its roof.

The minister joined a meeting with Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officials at Bangabandhu National Stadium today. BFF general secretary Abu Naeem Shohag and others joined.

Earlier, Sanjida Akhter, a player of the Bangladesh team who clinched their maiden SAFF Women's Championship title last night, posted a status on her Facebook profile before the match against Nepal. Later, the post went viral in social media.

She wrote, "It is fine even if we do not stand with the champions' trophy on the open-top bus, I want to win it for the people who have helped us touch the green grass, leaving aside the bitter comments of the society."
