Bangladesh beat Nepal in SAFF U20 Championship

Bangladesh women team started the campaign of SAFF U-20 beating Nepal by 3-1 at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Friday (February 3).
Bangladesh went forward with the strike from Aklima Khatun just after three minutes of the match. The lead was doubled 13 minutes later, with captain Shamsunnahar finding the back of the net following another long-ball from inside the Bangladesh half.
Manmaya Damai managed to reduce the gap scoring the only goal for Nepal. However, Bangladesh’s Shaheda Aktar Ripa hit the final knock. She netted the ball from outside the box in the first minute of the stoppage time (90+1).
In the opening game of the four-team championship, defending champions India beat Bhutan 12-0. Bangladesh will play against India while Nepal will face Bhutan on the second match day on Sunday (February 5).
