Bangladesh set 339-run target for Ireland

The Tigers set a 339-run target for Ireland in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday (March 18).

Bangladesh, thanks to brilliant innings of Shakib Al Hasan and debutant Towhid Hridoy, scored 338 runs by losing eight wickets in 50 overs.

Shakib hit 93 runs off 89 balls with nine boundaries. Hridoy registered 92 runs from 85 balls with eight boundaries and two over-boundaries. He hit the highest runs as Bangladeshi batter.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored 44 runs off 26 balls with three boundaries and as many over-boundaries.

Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 26 and 25 runs respectively.

Yasir Ali hit 17 runs from 10 balls while Taskin Ahmed scored 11 runs off 7 balls.

Tamim Iqbal posted 3 runs while Nasum Ahmed (unbeaten) scored 11 runs.

For Ireland, Graham Hume smashed four wickets for 60 runs.
