Bangladesh beat Ireland by 22 runs

Hosts Bangladesh beat Ireland by 22 runs in the first of three-match T20I series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday.

As per DLS method, Ireland needed 104 runs in 8 overs, but they scored 81 runs with loss of five wickets.

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed picked up three wickets in the fourth over of the innings to peg back Ireland. 

In the previous over, Hasan Mahmud dismissed Ireland opener Ross Adair, who hit three fours for his 10-ball 13 before Hasan executed a spearing yorker to uproot the stumps.

Before rain, Bangladesh scored 207 runs in 19.2 overs with loss of 5 wickets.
Ireland won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat first.
