Chennai Super Kings crowned IPL champions for 5th time

Chennai Super Kings has defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets to win the Indian Premier League (IPL) titles for the 5th time.

Chennai Super Kings became the second team after Mumbai Indians to win  the titles after Ravindra Jadeja starred in a thrilling final against Gujarat Titans. He hit a six and four off the last two balls to script history for CSK.

Earlier, a passing shower interrupted the match between the two teams and the second innings had to be reduced to 15 overs giving Chennai 171 to chase.

In the first innings, Sai Sudharsan (96) narrowly missed out on his century as Gujarat Titans posted 214/4, the highest-ever score in an IPL final, against the Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Wriddhiman Saha gave him apt support with his own half century.
