Sri Lanka has named their final 15-member squad for the ICC World Cup.
Sri Lanka announced their squad on Tuesday, 26 September, just two days before ICC's cut-off date.
The country has retained Dasun Shanaka as the captain despite recent reports of replacing him with Kusal Mendis. Mendis continues to remain Shanaka’s deputy.
Wanindu Hasaranga, who recently re-injured himself during his rehabilitation, has failed to make the cut as he won’t recover on time for the World Cup.
There were doubts over the fitness of left-arm seamer Dilshan Madushanka as well, but he has been passed fit and selected in the main squad. All-rounder Chamika Karunaratne has been named as a travelling reserve.
