Selim fails in Asian Games

Boxer Md Selim Hossain failed to cross the quarterfinal hurdle of the 19th Asian Games boxing 57kg weight category event after losing his Japanese rival Shudai Harada 5-0 held at Hangzhou Gymnasium on Tuesday.

The results of five judges went against Selim who fought equally with his Japanese rival. The crowd also gave unbiased support from the big bowl during the match.

After the match, Selim Hossain, who was one step away from the desirable] edal, said he is content over his overall performance for reaching this stage in the Asia Cup.

Selim, the man from Bangladesh Army, said his Japanese opponent is very speedy and technically better than him in the match.
