Tamima is still my wife, I will accept her cordially: Rakib

A court in Dhaka summoned cricketer Nasir Hossain and his wife Tamima Sultana Tammi, in a case filed by Tamima's first husband Rakib Hasan.

Legally Tamima is still wife of Rakib Hasan. Now, what’s his (Rakib) opinion regarding the issue?

In an interview, Rakib told risingbd, “Still she is my wife, law says it.”

He also said, if she returns, I will receive her cordially… will take her to Barishal… she will take care of my daughter.”

Earlier, the court asked Nasir, Tamima and Tamima's mother Sumi Akhter to appear before it on 31 October. If they don’t appear before the court, they will be arrested. Whereas, Rakib is waiting for the next direction of the court.

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) in its investigation report submitted today claimed to have got authenticity of the allegation made by Tamima Sultana’s former husband Rakib Hasan that Tamima married the cricketer before divorcing him.
