Tarana Halim receives death threat

Staff Correspondent: State Minister for Posts and Communications Tarana Halim has received death threat from unidentified miscreants.

On behalf of the state minister, a general diary was lodged with Gulshan Thana in this connection on Thursday noon, Officer-in-Charge of Gulshan Police Station Sirajul Islam confirmed the news.

 

A young man riding a motorcycle came to the gate of Tarana Halim’s Gulshan residence around 9.00pm on Wednesday with a gift box. The young man requested the security guard to receive the gift box, claiming that Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy has sent it.

 A note, a shroud and perfume were found in the box, and the note reads: “Now it’s your turn, get ready to die.”
