Tribunal issues warrant against Hasina

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) issued arrest warrants for deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina and two others after accepting five charges of crimes against humanity committed during the July uprising.
A three-member tribunal, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed the order on Sunday (June 1).
The two other accused are former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and former inspector general of police (IGP) inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun.
Earlier in the day, the charges were filed at the International Criminal Court against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the case. For the first time, the tribunal broadcasted live trial procedures in BTV.
