Mother killed, minor son injured in city road crash

A woman was killed and her 11-year-old minor boy was injured in road crash at Kakrail in the capital early Sunday.

The deceased were known as Mahmuda Begum and her son Mahin.

Mahin’s father Mofazzal Hawlader told risingbd that his wife Mahmuda along with their son was returning from Barisal. After getting down from launch, they were heading towards Moghbazar Madhubag from Sadarghat. A pick up van hit the rickshaw carrying them, leaving Mahmuda dead on the spot and Mahin injured.

Pedestrians took Mahin to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), he added.
