Upazila polls: Directive to ensure security for women voters

The Election Commission (EC) has directed all returning officers to ensure security for all women voters in the sixth upazila parishad elections.

Letters signed by Deputy Secretary Md Atiar Rahman were sent to all returning officers on Monday (April 29).

According to the directive, all types of voters, especially women voters, should be encouraged to cast their votes without fear. For this purpose, all the concerned should be informed through appropriate publicity to encourage them.
