Metro rail to run an hour longer from today

Metro rail in Dhaka will run for an additional hour from today (March 27) considering the passengers’ demand during the month of Ramadan. Passengers will get this service till the Eid.

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) Managing Director MAN Siddique confirmed the matter.

Earlier, DMTCL in a facebook post on Tuesday (March 26) said that the last train from Motijheel station will depart at 9:40pm and from Uttara Uttar station at 9pm until the day before Eid-ul-Fitr.

With the increased operations, metro rail will run 194 times on both sides, while at present, it runs 184 times from 7am to 8:40pm. So that a total of 4,47,752 passengers can get the metro rail service daily.
