NU VC allegedly attacked over demand for auto-pass

A group of students yesterday encircled National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Amanullah at the university campus, and later a section of them attempted to assault him.

The incident took place on Wednesday noon (May 21).

The university authorities taken an initiative to identify those involved in the incident and filed a case.

A notification signed by the National University acting director (public relations) Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter.

According to a press release issued by Md Mostafizur Rahman, acting director of the NU Public Relations Department, the attack took place around 12:00pm when the VC was getting out of his car at the gate of the administrative building.
