2 youths placed on 4-day remand in SUST student rape

A Sylhet court has granted a four-day remand for two students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) arrested in a case involving the alleged rape of a female student.

Judge Harunur Rashid of the Sylhet Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the order on Monday (June 23).

The accused, Shanto Tara Adnan and Swagata Das Partha were presented before the court during hearing.

Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ziaul Haque confirmed the matter.
