Activities of militant groups in BUET to be probed: Education Minister

Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury has said that to investigate deeply whether the activities of militant groups are going on in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

The Education Minister said this while talking to journalists after a discussion organised by BBS General Education Association at International Mother Language Institute in the city on Saturday (March 30).

The Education Minister said, “There is an allegation that some militant groups are secretly conducting their (BUET) activities there. We will investigate the matter. If an individual has such a mindset, he or she must stop it”. 

He also said, “Those who are working on militancy (special team of Counter Terrorism) will look into the matter. It is applicable for all organizations, not just one”.

At that time, he also requested everyone not to disturb the education environment in any way.
