Sunday’s HSC exams deferred to Monday

Staff Correspondent: The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams scheduled for Sunday have been deferred to Monday (May 9) due to a hartal called by the Jamaat-e-Islami.

Dhaka Education Board confirmed the matter on Thursday evening.

The Jamaat-e-Islami has called the 24-hour hartal beginning at 6am on Sunday after the Appellate Division turned down party chief Motiur Rahman Nizami’s review plea against his death sentence for war crimes in 1971.
