Deepika Padukone expecting first child

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at Italy's Lake Como after dating for six years. 

They first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. They later also starred in Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. 

Last year in November, Ranveer and Deepika celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Belgium.

Now, the couple are reportedly expecting their first child. According to a source o Deepika is in her second trimester. 

As per the report, there were speculations that Deepika may be pregnant as she reportedly hid her midriff at the 77th BAFTA red carpet. Deepika wore a shimmery saree and custom jewellery by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for the event.

It is also interesting to note that the news of her pregnancy comes shortly after it was reported that Deepika has opted out of The White Lotus season 3. Last month, it was rumoured that Deepika will be seen in third season of the hit HBO show. However, over the weekend, it was reported that Deepika has opted out of the show. 

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Deepika has been subjected to pregnancy rumours. Last month, when Deepika shared photos from the promotions of Fighter, fans believed to have noticed a ‘bump’ and soon enough they flooded the comments section asking if she was pregnant. 

Earlier this year, Deepika said that she wants to have kids with Ranveer. Speaking with Vogue Singapore, Deepika said, “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”
