Shohoz officials among 9 held for train ticket black marketing

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested nine people including two officials of Shohoz.com from Kamalapur railway station and Sabujbagh areas for alleged black marketing of train tickets.

The arrestees are – Mizan Dhali, Md Sohel Dhali, Md Sumon, Md Jahangir Alam, Md Shahjalal Hossain, Rasel, Joynal Abedin, Sabur Hawladar and Newton Biswas.

A notification issued by RAB-3 confirmed the matter on Friday (March 22).

RAB said that the ticket black marketers gang led by kingpin Mizan, was doing the crime since many days.

Mizan has long been associated with contracted organizations for railway ticket booking. In 2003, he joined contracting firm Daffodil as a peon at the Kamalapur Railway Station branch. Having been associated with ticketing contractors for a long time, his familiarity with the office of Shohoz.com at various stations across and with the employees of major railway stations developed.

Following the communication sources, he used to sell a huge number of tickets by combining members of Shohoz.com, ticket counters and other black market gang members at various stations, RAB said.
