Bhutan king arrives in Dhaka

Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck arrived in Dhaka on Monday morning (March 25) on a four-day visit to Bangladesh.
A special VVIP flight of Drukair or Royal Bhutan Airlines carrying the King of Bhutan landed at Dhaka Airport around 10:00am.
President Shahabuddin received the king with flowers while the first lady of Bangladesh Rebeka Sultana received Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck, Queen of Bhutan.
This is the first state visit of any head of state, after the Awami League formed the government for a new term.
Apart from family members, the King of Bhutan is accompanied by cabinet members and high-ranking government officials.
