Bangladeshi killed in BSF firing along Lalmonirhat border

A Bangladeshi youth was killed in firing by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members early Saturday along the border in Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat.
The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam Daku, 20, son of late Apari Uddin.
Police and BGB source said a group of Bangladeshi entered into Indian territory through pillar number 848. Meanwhile, BSF personnel opened fire aiming them, leaving Abul Kalam injured.
Later, he was taken to Patgram upazila health complex but he died on the way to the hospital.
Patgram police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abu Sayeed Chowdhury said legal process is underway in this regard.
